Dedicated to Sherry’s father, John Martyn, who passed away in 2013 at age 91. A WWII veteran, John served in the South Pacific as a gunner on a B24 “Liberator” Bomber.
A Bordeaux blend of 89% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Malbec was aged in French Oak barrels for 32 months. A rich, dark garnet red wine with aromas of vanilla, caramel, coconut, and toasted almond. Other notes consist of plum, berries, red apple skin, floral notes, hibiscus tea and spices (black pepper, nutmeg, licorice). Smooth with a great balance between velvety tannin's, bright fruit notes, and spices.
